Brian Clough Scores on Water
My inspiration for this tribute to the best manager England never had, comes from my first meeting with the great man. This was the Sunday morning after Forest had defeated Malmö FF 1–0 in Munich on May 30, 1979. I’d called in at Mr Cloughs’ family post office, where our legend was proudly serving customers with the European cup gleaming at us from behind the post office glass screen. A morning to remember!
